ARCHITECTURE

A “contextual” approach to architecture applies to projects of all scales, be it a residential building addition, kitchen remodeling, new home construction or a redesign of a storefront for an infill project on “Main Street.” When applied to the building scale, this philosophical perspective gives rise to an architecture that is respectful of the surrounding built environment and sensitive to the natural contours and ecology of the land. Building exteriors and interiors are complementary and imbued with simplicity. Various architectural styles ranging from classical to arts and crafts to modern are employed as appropriate, resulting in a new architectural expression that is in harmony with what came before.
