413 East Main

413 East Main Street is an integral part of the historic architectural context of Charlottesville’s Pedestrian Downtown Mall. Galvin Architects was hired to redesign the existing facade in Phase 1, to accommodate the retail display needs of a fine gemstone store and redesign the interior to provide new stair access to the 2nd floor (in compliance with local building codes and federal handicapped accessibility ordinances.) The interior and exterior design by Galvin Architects has proven adaptable so as to meet the needs of different retailers, over time.
