Venable

Midway, under the direction of Rob Newman, was known for building high-quality affordable housing that fit within the context of the surrounding neighborhood in Crozet, and the City’s Belmont neighborhood. So when Midway offered to work with the Charlottesville Housing Improvement Program (CHIP) to design and build four affordable houses for first time homeowners in the City’s Venable neighborhood, Kathy Galvin, CHIP’s in-house architect and rehab specialist, jumped at the chance.

“The thing I like best is the porch.”

— first time home-buyer, Rebecca Morton
