Biscuit Run

Biscuit Run was a proposed “Neighborhood Model” development for Albemarle County, organized around the planning concept known as “the transect” that divided the neighborhood into a center, middle and edge subzone. Biscuit Run’s Center was to include 1,100 residential units and 150,000 SF of ground-floor commercial. The design team of Gate Pratt (Limehouse Architects), Kathy Galvin (Galvin Architects) and Jeff Speck held a one-day “charrette” to design, quantify and illustrate a walkable, mixed use Town Center. This project was not built, but instead turned into a Virginia State Park.
