Old Trail

Old Trail Village was built upon the principles of Albemarle County’s “Neighborhood Model,” growth management policy. As such, Galvin Architects designed the roughly 2,000-resident village, with an interconnected grid of walkable and bike-able streets, multi-use trails and parks. A mixed-use Village Center (with housing, offices, shops and restaurants) was sited within a 5-10 minute walk of most residences, along streets lined with trees and sidewalks with Crozet’s old downtown within a short bike ride. A form-oriented code of development guided build-out.
