Corridor Study, Birmingham, Alabama

As lead architect for the transportation and land-use planning firm, Renaissance Planning Group (RPG), Ms. Galvin designed and illustrated redevelopment plans and street perspectives, “before and after” public transit investments, along five key commuting corridors entering into Birmingham City, AL. Proposed development patterns that adhered to walk-able design principles for Transit-Oriented Development ( TOD), were then used to formulate design guidelines for the development and redevelopment of future transit station areas.
